Marketing & Sales In 10 Easy Steps…

Why should you care about marketing or selling? Anytime you want to convince anyone to think or do anything, then you are a marketer or salesperson. Yes, that is you (and yes, I realize you are not necessarily the best person to try “sell” this idea too – see below).

Who is the best person to sell? Anyone who knows they have a problem, knows there are solutions, has tried other solutions, is not happy with the results of those solutions, knows you have an alternative solution, believes your solution works, believes your solution will work for them, believes that money, time and effort, judgement, self-perception etc are not hurdles and have not “bought” your solution yet.

Who is the 2nd best person to sell? All of the above, minus the last attribute.

Who is the 3rd, 4th, 5th etc best person to sell? All of the above, minus the last 2, 3, 4 etc attributes.

Where are the best places to find these prospects? Any place that there are more than 1 of these “best people”, that is cheap, quick and easily reachable.

How will you get a prospects attention? Bait them with something that will interrupt their thought or behaviours patterns.

What will you do once a prospect is hooked? Get their interest by giving context to an offer.

What will you do once a prospect is interested? Get their desire with an them an offer. An offer is a promise of providing a solution with certain terms and conditions.

What will you do a prospect is craving? Get them to take action by making a request to take action.

What will you do once a prospect takes action? Repeat!
